GSTV's college comedy series SOPHOMORES returns for a groundbreaking sophomore season, where the unfortunate undergraduates of Bardell University explore new schedules, new relationships, and new mysteries. Returning from winter break in very different places in their lives, the sophomores are confronted with the unexpected disappearance of one of their classmates and the ongoing investigation it brings onto campus. But the demands of college keep each one of them far too busy to be too concerned.
Finally adjusting to college life, transfer student Margeaux Peters embarks on new adventures at the school newspaper the Bardell Bearhug and sets her focus on her Journalism major, as well as her majorly attractive Journalism T.A. Reformed rich girl Lizabeth Martin takes on a full plate, with her campaign for presidency at "alternative" sorority Pi Rho Gamma, a new relationship, and a handful of new enemies. After his turbulent non-relationship with Margeaux last semester, Luke Jameson returns from a sabbatical in Alaska with a new girlfriend and inadvertently stumbles upon a longtime secret about his own family that hits close to home. Football star- turned-artist Clive Jenkins attends class at Stonem School of Art and Design, despite his rejected application, and continues pursuing his "passion" for art, unknowingly pushing away his girlfriend Renee in the process. And the infamous Jackie Copeman, last seen expelled for hoarding illegal prescription drugs in the dorms, returns to Bardell with an entirely new agenda and a new friend named Jesus.
Created by Yonas Michael and co-written and produced by Sharon Ezra, the character- driven satire explores the very different yet interconnected worlds of college students, playing on stereotypes, bending the rules of comedy, but always hitting close to home. And in its second season of ten brand-new episodes, the series explores shocking new storylines, delves into social and political issues, and pushes its characters to grow out of their stereotypes and into the real world.
